The famous ‘Bluebell Railway’- 

You can buy tickets to go on the steam train or just visit the station and enjoy watching the trains from the comfort of their cafe. The station is 5 mins walk on the right as you leave the Glade.

A town of great interest to many- The Olde world East Grinstead- Boasting the longest line of tudor buildings- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Grinstead Make sure you visit the unique independent bookshop on the high street!

Forest row is a very interesting alternative village with lots of unique boutiques and cafes- There is the oldest Steiner school in Europe- Michael Hall and also the Steiner adult education college- Emerson College.

 

Tunbridge wells is a 30min drive and is a buzzing spa town.

We are lucky enough to have 3 community farms locally where you can get raw dairy products, fresh biodynamic produce and local spring water- They also have a cafe on certain days.

Walks

 

There are a number of lovely walks on our doorstep including one to the local village of Horsted Keynes [where there are 2 pubs and a small shop]- We have maps onsite with more specific details.

There is also a longer walk over to the Ardinglye reservoir.

 

We are very lucky to be right in the heart of the Ashdown Forest , which also happens to be the home of Winnie the Pooh and 100acre woods!
